Hogs Breath Cafe CEO Steven Spurgin will leave the business in May after nearly five years in the role.

In 2020 Hog’s Breath owners Don Algie and Ginger White, operating as HBC Management, bought back the business and appointed Spurgin as CEO.

His role was to maintain continuity while HBCM transitioned into running the system, director Ginger White said in a statement on Spurgin’s departure.

White said Spurgin helped guide the company through the pandemic challenges and recovery period.

“His leadership during this critical time helped stabilise operations and set the stage for the brand’s future growth,” White said.

“Steven will be stepping down as CEO in May as we have successfully identified a suitable successor. The new CEO will be officially announced at the end of April,” he said.
