Macy’s taps Bloomingdale’s exec to lead children’s and men’s divisions

Macy’s has named Bloomingdale’s chief Daniel Leppo as its new senior VP and general merchandising manager for men’s and kids’. 

In his new role, Leppo will be responsible for leading and driving the men’s and kid’s merchandise operations, focusing on creating appealing assortments that meet customer demand and market trends. 

He succeeds Sam Archibald and will report to Macy’s chief merchandising officer, Nata Dvir. 

“With deep expertise in men’s fashion, strong industry partnerships and a recognized brand builder, I’m confident Leppo will successfully lead the men’s and kids’ business,” said Dvir.

“As we aim to inspire and excite our customers with our assortment, his work will be crucial in strengthening and reimagining Macy’s in our Bold New Chapter.”

Leppo started his career at Bloomingdale’s as an intern and has held numerous leadership positions, most recently overseeing cosmetics, menswear, children’s & home.

Earlier this month, Macy’s secured a deal to be exclusively developed into a fictionalized television series based on the best-selling novel When Women Ran Fifth Avenue.
