LVMH has appointed Frederic Arnault as CEO of Italian luxury brand Loro Piana, his first leadership role within the group’s fashion and leather goods division.

He will assume his new position this month, working alongside outgoing CEO Damien Bertrand during the transition period.

Arnault will report to Toni Belloni, chairman of LVMH Italy.

A graduate of France’s Ecole Polytechnique, he spent six years at Tag Heuer before moving into the broader watches division, which he has led since last year.

“His purposeful vision for the watchmaking industry, anchored in quality and savoir-faire, has proven to be a strategic asset for the group,” LVMH said.

Meanwhile, Bertrand has been appointed deputy CEO of Louis Vuitton, effective 10 June.

Reporting to Louis Vuitton CEO Pietro Beccari, he will oversee product creation, brand image, and industrial activities.

Bertrand will join the LVMH executive committee in January next year.

In another leadership shift, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, currently managing director of the LVMH Fashion Group, will become deputy CEO of Dior, reporting to chairman and CEO Delphine Arnault.

LVMH added that it will announce a new CEO for Fendi soon.

All five of Bernard Arnault’s children now hold senior leadership roles within the group.
