Accessories and lifestyle retailer Tapestry has named Eva Erdmann as the new CEO and brand president of Kate Spade, effective in October.
Succeeding Liz Fraser, Erdmann will report to Joanne Crevoiserat, CEO of Tapestry and will become a member of the company’s executive committee.
Erdmann has worked for L’Oreal as global president of Urban Decay Cosmetics since 2018. She will oversee all of Kate Spade’s business with a focus on connecting consumers with sustainable growth.
“She is a talented global brand-builder with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving consumer landscape and a demonstrated ability to cultivate desire, cultural relevance, and passionate communities for distinctive luxury brands,” said Joanne Crevoiserat, CEO of Tapestry.
Crevoiserat also thanks the former CEO, Liz Fraser, for her passion and dedication to Kate Spade.
“Under Liz’s leadership, we advanced our strategies, refocusing the brand on its distinctive DNA, and creating the foundation for the future.”
Kate Spade was acquired by Tapestry in July 2017 for $2.4 billion. The brand partnered with Heinz to launch a limited-edition apparel collection in June.
